The Purpose of Life is to Live it..not to spend all of it searching for the purpose. Live Live Live like every second was your last.

Tonight I was invited to my nephews 6th class graduation.

The night began in the school hall with certificates presented to each member of the class. I was so proud as an Uncle to sit there and see my nephew all of 11 at his first graduation. They then sang a couple of songs and then an imovie presentation of the past year was put on for all to see.

This brought a tear to my eye. Watching how the next generation of youth was passing from one stage of their lives to the next. How when I was their age issues were still the same back then. The way they smiled and the way they experienced their lives with all the dramas brought up memories of when I was leaving 6th grade and going into high school. When innocence left and the hormones started to kick in.

Growing up is still hard to do. Maybe even more so now with kids having to grow up quicker than when we were growing up. The stresses and expectations placed on them these days seems to be overwhelming.

I was so proud sitting there watching him. Seeing him growing up makes me feel really special.

What a great article! I can't believe how fast you grow up especially from elementary school to junior high. It's like you were spoonfed everything to a certain point, and then, bam...all of the sudden you have all of these responsibilities on top of having a decent social life...haha. BAck then it was all about being popular...and of course none of it even matters anymore!

Did that make any sense?

For my nephew it is all about his friends.. and whether people like him or not. He isnt very popular at school but is coming to learn that it doesnt really matter.

Thanks Alison.
