The Purpose of Life is to Live it..not to spend all of it searching for the purpose. Live Live Live like every second was your last.

Would you walk upto someone in the street, a stranger and say to them "Hi, your a fuckwit"?

The last time I checked I am alive. I go to work, I have family, I have friends and I go out. I eat and breathe and watch television. How about you? Are you sure your alive?

Now your probably wondering what the point of this article is?

Well, what is it that makes people think that sitting behind a computer screen and typing on chat rooms or writing blog articles doesnt make it real? Are we all sitting here making up fantasies of lives and creating dramas for some psychological or emotional dependancy? Because we cant see each other, does it mean your all of a sudden fake and become less than human?

Well I use the internet for alot of reasons. Here is a few reasons..
1. to keep upto date with news and events around the world.
2. to keep in contact with friends all around the world.
3. for information
4. to meet people and form friendships.

These are the main reasons I get online.

What I have found really interesting is that others who get online do so and throw their morals, values and manners out the window. They get online under assumed names and identities and think that it's all fun and games and who gives a fuck who I hurt or affect or tread on all in the name of fun.

When your online do you care about who your talking with? Do you care who you might be affecting? Do you really care about who is on the other side of the screen? Really do you give a fuck? And if you dont, then get up and take a look in the mirror. Do you care if anyone gives a fuck about you? Because if you dont care about whos on the other side of the screen then you shouldnt expect others to give a fuck about you. And what a sad state this planet would be if we, in our day to day lives cant care about other people.

So do YOU care? Do you really??

Well...some people care.

Like in real life, people get attached and form cliches. A lot of people cna be a lot hasher in their online life their online life than their real life because of the fact that it is online.

I have posted this before, and I think it still applies: If you put yourself out there, expect the good and the bad. If people don't like you, then that is their problem. If they like you, a bonus. But, you have to understand that the internet is no different than RL..though, for some reason, people think it should.

I think that people need to take it all with a grain of salt, and if something good comes of it..great! But, be prepared for any bad.

I for one, do care..but I know when not to care also.

Granted, I blog for my own peace of mind, but I do hope my blogs entertain, and to some tiny minor degree, enlighten a little to what very few read them. I care, but I echo Amitty in:

..but I know when not to care also.

I blog because....I can.  I like it, it's healthy, it keeps me mentally stimulated and I like to think that I'm a halfway decent writer and that people like to read what I write.

And yes, I care.  Even when it's in my best interests not to, and even though I try not to, I do.

I have a much tougher skin now than when i first started, though!

You shouldn't waste your time being frustrated with people who don't care, you are not going to be able to change their minds anyway. If people are delibrately making you mad somehow, maybe they are just trying to push your buttons and see how you react. You can't change others sometimes, all you can do is decide how you want to react. Not everyone comes online to make friends. Not everyone cares about how people percieve them nor are they here to better themselves. The thing about the internet is that it is like a party where everyone can choose to come to it wearing a mask. There's hardly any consequences for being notorious. Where in real life, a person might get punched in the nose for insulting someone's mother, but they know they can't be touched online -- they can get away with it.

You seem like a nice guy, you seem to have some real friends here from my observation, so why do you frustrate yourself over characters that don't care and don't matter?

Do I care? I only care about people who care to make friends, care to make sense. For trolls, spammers and stupid quarrelsome types, I really don't care.

Cheers, Phoenix.

I try to be careful about the people I associate with online. I blog for a number reasons that include, meeting people. But, I also blog for me. Just for me. I like to write and haven't really done much of it for years and now I am getting a chance and also, I'm getting feedback. I like that very much.

On the topic of people online. Well, as far as JU goes, my comment leaving history tells the story of whom I want to associate and communicate with regularly. I think that JU is a great way to meet people and to make real friends. And I think it's important to show them the same courtesies you would in real life.

So, I guess to anwer your question... I do care.

Excellent post, Phoenixboi!

Hi there Amitty.. I agree with you here. I really think that we need to look at how we affect other people whether it is online or in real life. We aren't computers. We are the humans behind them.
I care, but I echo Amitty in:

Hey there Shovel heat. .. I always care, because when I blog or chat I always imagine the person standing in front of me and I always think how would I feel or react if this was done to me.

And yes, I care. Even when it's in my best interests not to, and even though I try not to, I do.

Dharma this is where we are the same, and I think this is why we are friends and relate to each other. Because we think alot with our hearts.

Raven.. I think this is the problem, people think they can hide, and that it doesnt affect them. But I really believe it does.
Hang in there buddy,

Janders.. these are the people I gravitate towards. Thanks
