Well the past two days we have been hit by arctic conditions here in Oz. ...

It snowed where it hasnt snowed before and we have had gale force winds and rain as well.. still not enough for the catchment but it tried its best.

And thanks to Dharmas beenie my head was kept safe from the cold! I reckon she should market them! make stock now for the winter! People they are the warmest beenies I have ever worn.. maybe cause it was made with such love and the colours are that of fire!

Who would have known someone that was on the other side of the world could have had such an impact!

Thanks again Dharma!

This is the view across my street:

This is what I had to meet me when I opened the garage door:

Bear in mind that Shea is almost as tall as I am.

So, I knit beenies for winter conditions where I live.....I'm sorry that you had to experience them, but glad you had a hat to keep your head warm!

Yeah it sure did!

strange enough though we had those couple of days of really freezing weather and now it is back to warm again! I dont understand it ..but hey Im not complaining and Im prepared now for when and if it gets cold again!

Ps.. those pics are amazing! Do you just stay indoors?? Ive never experienced anything like that as Im too close to the coast to get snow although it was snowing just on the mountains above me. Looks like your kids really aclimatise fast!

No we had to dig out.  Actually, that storm dumped so much snow on us that the plows couldn't get out that day....and when they got out the nexy day, 2 got stuck on our street and had to have a bigger plow come dig them out. Hysterical, really.  Apparently that was the worst storm since 1970 something.  Of course, Dave was missing in action for it....we had worse weather here in North America that day than he had in the Arctic.
