Some people think that the internet is somewhere safe to hide.

Some people think that when they put up a fake name they arent able to be traced.

Some people think they can write anything and get away with it.

Im like a ratter.

I can smell shit from miles away. And I take great pleasure in exposing them.

Hell hath no fury as a queens scorn.

The masks are about to be ripped off.

From reading The Sun online? Why not actually visit England before issuing such generalised statements.

I know that......

Oh dear, I think you did not!

antivilification

I have never villified poofters at all, they do that quite well themselves. You will villify me with great vigour, but when I criticise the chosen few of perverts and simpletons, I am a Nazi. This is why people are beginning to question the relevance of 'equal rights' to modern life. It is a vile dogma which censors anyone that is in opposition to it. Most un-British indeed!

So, you'll let some old fart in a wig tell you what to do? How very un-Maxwellian.

A much better system than the American system I am sure you will agree, being such a pure English woman! One constituition for millions of people? That will obviously cause unequivocal problems.

In those statements you are doing it already.

Most un-British indeed

I dont live in britain honey, I live in Australia.

No, I'm taking American citizenship, actually.  I'd hate to be classed as a citizen of the same country as you.

The Empire is dead Petey.. and with it went all the barbarism that you subscribe to.

Pete, I do find it interesting that your ilk don't come to fight your battle with you by your side. Why are you so suddenly all alone?
on Jul 30, 2004
"And Bakerstreet if your so over it then why bother posting here? Do you have nothing better to do?"

Not at the moment, and I keep thinking the other shoe will drop and you'll make good on your claim to "unmask" or "expose" or "trace" or at the very least cause him not to "get away with" whatever it is you are so pissed about...

To be honest I'm still a little shocked that all this was just over Sir Peter. Do you often get this emotional about fictional characters? Perhaps you know the whereabouts of Kaiser Soze' or maybe we should head to Mars to take down Ming the Merciless...

Come on, you're above this... aren't you?

Oh, no, he is not alone. He is doing quite well, though. As much as I enjoy JoeUser, there is life off of JoeUser, but I'll be checking in. lol, I think Sir Peter can handle this, though.
Phoenixboi - I am sorry that you think of me as a rat. I'm not a rat at all.

Maybe they just don't want to be called rats, sycophants, acolytes, etc. in the name of "anti-vilification."

Really, I don't even know why Sir Peter is participating. This isn't going to accomplish anything. The majority of people who have been banned have been done so for attacking the admins. We all know how liberal the free speech policy around here is. That's not going to change.

For the most part this whole thread looks to me like a place for those who hate Sir Peter to gather and vent. Fine -- have fun. Let them speak their peace. What would be the point in entering into an argument?

Personally I think the effort would be better expended on someone who spouts hatred without satire like Marvin Cooley. He goes on homosexuals' threads and calls them "faggots" and worse without irony.

Sir Peter is the equivalent of Mel Brooks mocking Nazis. He's exposing the evil and holding it up for ridicule. Mel Brooks gets criticized for his stand that evil should be made fun of, too. Mel Brooks has faced these same kinds of attacks on his work. Mel Brooks isn't a Nazi, even though in his work the Nazi point of view can be given voice. Sir Peter isn't the things he holds up to the light either.

Maybe those who enjoy Sir Peter's work don't do so because the subscribe to what he expresses but because they delight in seeing balloons popped and foolishness laid bare. In the future when we meet those who resemble Sir Peter in belief and position we will instantly recognize the beast. He has peeled back the wizard's curtain and shown us what is behind the smoke and mirrors.

In the marketplace of free ideas we should not be afraid that possibly evil positions should be given voice. We should rather fear the evil lurking in the dark, unexposed, unrevealed, rotting the rest of the apples in the barrel without anyone ever seeing it. Keep the evil exposed to the light where we can all see what is going on. If we never knew what Hitler, Stalin, et al said, wrote, and believed how could we know the evil when it rises again? How often do we have a chance to come face to face with the disagreeable and offensive? We should have enough faith in mankind that the majority, when exposed to the virus, will build up the proper immunity. Some will not. We will always have evil with us. But once exposed, the majority has a far greater chance to recognize it when it comes and in so doing society as a whole will be in a far better position to defend against it.

In that regard Sir Peter has done far more for the cause than phoenixboi could ever hope to.

Maybe Sir Peter is the ratter. Maybe other people have been exposed. He's exposing those who would name call in the name of countering name calling, who would express hatred and bigotry in the name of countering hatred and bigotry, who would vilify in the name of anti-vilification, and never once see the irony.

That's probably all I'm going to be saying. Enjoy your effigy burning. Bring me a toasted marshmallow later, okay?

Why are you guys going out of your way to just flame each other? if someone gets on your nerves, just black list them.

You guys have a much higher tolerance for abuse than I do. We're not going to police the forums over hurt feelings. I admit I don't read SPM's blogs very much since he writes on things that I'm not into.

You guys gotta get over this censorship hump. Life is short. Black listing someone is not taking away their rights. You black list people so that they stop infringing on YOUR rights.

Gene Nash - With your post, I will rest my future posting on this article. I tried to express those feelings on another thread, but you said this so eloquently and so well, that I give you my insightful!! Great comment.

I keep thinking the other shoe will drop and you'll make good on your claim to "unmask" or "expose"

I get the feeling that the "expose" part has been shifted from "exposing who Sir Peter really is" to "If you come on here and support Sir Peter I have exposed you as being a racist, bigoted, homophobe" or something like that. He seems to be referring to us as the little rats he is bringing into the light by huffing into his flute.

And Sir Peter is delusional?

pied piper noun
1. A person who offers others strong yet delusive enticements.
2. One, such as a leader, who makes irresponsible promises.
